CBS has ordered two currently unnamed comedy pilots. One comes from Cindy Chupack (Sex and the City), the other comes from Mark Gross (Man with a Plan). CBS is planning to continue its pilot strategy from 2020. Last month, the network revealed that. This means that hardly any pilots are ordered but that CBS will instead order the entire series straight away. This does not yet apply to these two comedy pilots that have recently been ordered.
The first pilot is inspired by the book How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men's Feelings by TikTok celebrity Sarah Cooper. Cindy Chupack (Sex and the City) has written this series and serves as its showrunner. Last summer, the series received a script confirmation. The show revolves around three women in different stages of their career at a male-dominated company.
The other series is based on the life of the professional bowler Tom Smallwood. After he's fired from the factory, he decides to take on his dream to become a professional bowler. Mark Gross (Man with a Plan) will be writing this new comedy series. Both projects come from CBS Studios.
