HBO Max orders comedy pilot The Gordita Chronicles

Josh Berman and Zoe Saldana are the producers and Eva Longoria will direct and executively produce. Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives, photo) will direct the pilot episode of The Gordita Chronicles. She will also serve as executive producer. The single-camera family comedy comes from Josh Berman's Osprey Productions, Zoe Saldana's Cinestar Pictures and Sony Pictures TV.



In the Gordita Chronicles, a quirky, chubby and twelve-year-old Dominican is struggling to adjust to the hedonistic Miami of the 80s as her family tries to pursue the American dream. The series has been written by Claudia Forestier.
