CBS has given the green light for a pilot episode of The Equalizer.
The project comes from Take Two creators Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller, Davis Entertainment and Universal Television. Written by Marlowe and Miller - who will serve as showrunners - The Equalizer will show Queen Latifah as an enigmatic figure who uses her extensive skills to help people trapped in their lives. This is a new take on the character played by Edward Woodward in the original series and by Denzel Washington in the film.
