Fox orders pilot from The Big Leap

FOX has ordered a pilot of the drama series The Big Leap. It is a project of writer and executive producer Liz Heldens, who is known for The Passage. The Big Leap revolves around a dance competition. The project is described as a funny and contemporary story about second chances, chasing your dreams and taking back what is yours. The series focuses on a group of different people who compete in a dance competition.

Their bodies are not really suitable for becoming good dancers. But they are doing well with their wit, humor and creativity to fill in the dance according to their own insight. The Big Leap takes us on a journey of self-acceptance, body positivity and finding strength at every age.

The Big Leap is a co-production of 20th Century Fox Television (now part of Disney) and Fox Entertainment. If a full series will be ordered, then each episode will be one hour long. Liz Heldens already has a contract at 20th Century Fox Television.
