The American channel The CW has given the green light for a pilot of The Lost Boys, an improved version of the rejected pilot that The CW ordered last season.
It is a project from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas. Marcos Siega, who previously supervised the pilots of the CW series The Vampire Diaries and Batwoman, is also responsible for the realization of the new Lost Boys pilot. In the series, a mother and her sons move to the seaside resort where she grew up. Then it appears that the children in the resort sleep almost all day, party all night and apparently never grow up. Family ties are therefore put to the test. The series The Lost Boys is based on the Warner Bros. film. from 1987.

Merigan Mulhern, who was previously involved in Jane the Virgin and BH90210, is now working on a pilot of the Maverick series. This is about the daughter of the president who questions her loyalty to her father "in today's America under authoritarian rule." Challenged by her fellow students and under the watchful eye of agents of the Secret Service, she must decide whether her loyalty remains with her family or if she takes action.
