Pilot fever! ABC orders seven pilots and one series

In the land of series, the urge to order pilots and series orders has burst out in full force. But which series have been ordered, which pilots are made and at which channel? We have listed ABC's. We start with the series that immediately received a series order from ABC.

The Big Sky is a procedural crime series that follows private detective Cassie Dewell. Together with Jenny Holt, a former police officer, she goes looking for two sisters who have been abducted by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, a race against the clock starts to stop the man before more victims fall. The Big Sky is based on The Highway, the first book in the Cassie Dewell series by C.J. Box. The series was written by executive producer David E. Kelley (Boston Legal). He will work with Ross Fineman (Goliath) and C.J. Producing box executive. Nothing has been announced about the cast of The Big Sky.

This is followed by seven pilots ordered by ABC. Some of them have already published a message on MySeries.

Drama series:
The Brides is a supernatural vampire series. The cast has yet to be announced.

Rebel is a pilot of which a message appeared on My Series. One cast member is already known Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy, photo).



Harlem’s Kitchen, known as Rice, is another ABC pilot. The cast of this series is currently unknown.

Thirtysomething (else), is a prequel of the ABC series from the late 80s / early 90s. The cast will (again) consist of Mel Harris, Ken Olin, Timothy Busfield, Patricia Wettig.




Comedies:
Along with the message about Rebel, we also reported rumours about a single and multi-camera pilot. These are Prospect and My Village respectively.

Work Wife is the third comedy pilot. The single camera comedy tells the story of a platonic male / female team whose professional success, personal friendship and the ability to share deodorants work in their lives. Dani and Scott have made the leap to start their own team. Now that they feel the stress of being in charge, they have to rely more than ever on the yin-yang of their dynamics to sustain their professional and personal lives. Inspired by the real collaboration between producers Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest and writers Casey Johnson and David Windsor.

An unnamed series by Nate Bargatze is canceled.
