ABC orders pilot of comedy series Adopted

Jimmy Kimmel, known as presenter of talk shows, is working on a new comedy series for ABC with the title Adopted. He is writing the concept and is also going to make a pilot. Based on a true story, the potential series follows a soldier returning from service to Texas. He and his family struggle with the challenges of adopting a 12-year-old Russian boy.

Kimmel is writing the Adopted pilot in collaboration with a few US Army veterans: Shawn Vance and Daril Fannin. The Jimmy Kimmel company Kimmelot is producing the pilot.
