Netflix Reveals Premiere Date for Comedy Series Running Point Starring Kate Hudson

Netflix has revealed the premiere date for the basketball comedy series starring Kate Hudson and Brenda Song. The series about a Jeanie Buss-like woman (owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, ed.), played by Hudson, who takes over the leadership of a basketball team in Los Angeles, premieres next month. Expect ten episodes of the comedy series from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, who is the showrunner.



Here’s the official synopsis: When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla must prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the sports community that she’s the right choice for the job.

The series also stars Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, and Jay Ellis. Max Greenfield and Justin Theroux also guest star.
