Comedy series Leanne by Leanne Morgan and Chuck Lorre gets a premiere date from Netflix

Netflix has set a premiere date for Leanne, the streamer's upcoming comedy series.

Netflix voegt deze zomer een hartverwarmende nieuwe comedyserie toe aan zijn line-up: Leanne, gecreëerd door Leanne Morgan, Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men) en Susan McMartin (Mom).

After 33 years of marriage, Leanne’s husband suddenly leaves her for another woman. Instead of enjoying a peaceful future, she must start over as a menopausal grandmother, which was definitely not the plan. Still, Leanne—armed with grace, dignity, and a generous helping of jelly salad—tries to get her life back on track, with the support (and chaos) of her family.

The series is based on the stand-up personality of Leanne Morgan, known for her warm, honest, and often hilarious take on life as a middle-aged woman.

In addition to Morgan herself in the lead role, the cast includes Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers, and Hannah Pilkes. Tim Daly, Jayma Mays, Annie Gonzalez, and Blake Gibbons have recurring roles.

Leanne will be released on Netflix on Thursday, July 31, with all 16 episodes available at once. Check out more first look photos below.
