Premiere date Netflix comedy series Unstable with Rob Lowe

Netflix has released a first teaser trailer for Unstable and announced a March release date for the father-son comedy series.

Unstable follows an introverted son (John Owen Lowe) who goes to work for his highly successful, wildly eccentric father (Rob Lowe) to save him and his successful biotech company from disaster. It is inspired by Rob and John Owen Lowe's social media relationship, in which John Owen often humorously trolls his father.

Rob Lowe's Ellis Dragon is a widely admired, eccentric, narcissistic biotech entrepreneur who wants to make the world a better place. He is also in an emotional free fall. His son Jackson Dragon (John Owen Lowe) is… none of these things. So the question is, can Jackson save his father, and his company, and save their estranged relationship while also doing the impossible: escape the shadow of his unique father?

Rob Lowe (photo, left) is, in addition to his numerous film roles, known for series such as Brothers & Sisters, Parks and Recreation, Code Black and 9-1-1: Lone Star. It's not the first time father and son have worked together. Son John Owen Lowe (photo, r.) starred in five episodes of the comedy series The Grinder, in which Rob had a regular role and was an executive producer. John Owen was also a writer for 9-1-1: Lone Star.

The series was created and produced by both Lowes and Victor Fresco. Marc Buckland (My Name Is Earl) serves as executive producer.

The cast also includes Sian Clifford (Fleabag), Aaron Branch (Kenan), Rachel Marsh (NCIS: Los Angeles) and Emma Ferreira (Transplant).

Unstable can be streamed on Netflix from Thursday, March 30. Check out the teaser trailer below.
