“This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach in a statement. “These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”
The nine renewed series join previous renewals of Matlock (2024) and FBI, which is in the midst of a multi-season order running through 2026-27. Unscripted programs Survivor and The Amazing Race are also confirmed for next season, along with new series Sheriff Country, Boston Blue - with Donnie Wahlberg reprising his Blue Bloods role - and music competition The Road.
Six of the renewed series - Tracker, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Elsbeth, Ghosts, Fire Country and NCIS - have an average of more than 10 million cross-platform viewers this season (with 35 viewing days).
CBS will make more decisions about renewals in the months leading up to the upfronts in May. The Monday night comedy series The Neighborhood and Poppa's House, the FBI spin-offs FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted, S.W.A.T. (2017), The Equalizer and Watson are still waiting for a decision about their future.
