©TV Series Finale - SonyPre-production has now started, and casting is in full swing in Vancouver. Ronald D. Moore serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, while Frederick E.O. Toye will direct the first two episodes.
The series follows the story of Kratos and his son Atreus, who embark on a journey to scatter the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. During this journey, Kratos tries to teach his son how to become a better god, while Atreus, in turn, tries to show his father what it means to be a better human.
The series remains true to the thematic core of the games, focusing on both mythology and complex family bonds.
New casting rumors suggest that Max Parker is in talks to play the role of Baldur, while Olafur Darri Olafsson is being considered for Thor, who may appear earlier in the series than in the games.
Although these names may be less familiar to the general public, Parker recently impressed with his role in the hit series Boots—an appearance that, according to experts, has put him in the spotlight for larger international projects.
Olafur Darri Olafsson, on the other hand, is an experienced Icelandic actor known for Trapped (Ófærd), The Tourist, Severance, and various Hollywood supporting roles, making him a logical choice to portray a physically imposing and nuanced god like Thor.
A release date and further details will be announced at a later time.

The choice of Ronald D. Moore as showrunner is promising, given his experience with epic stories and strong characters.
