Sony Pictures Television is working on American version of Italian series Doc

Sony Pictures Television has acquired international distribution rights to Doc. Next to that, they're also working on an American version of the series.
Sony Pictures Television is working on a series that is based on the Italian medical drama Doc: Nelle Tue Mani by Lux Vide. This plan is part of a deal that also enables Sony Pictures Television to sell the Italian series internationally.

In the Italian series, Luca Argentero (Sirene) portrays doctor Andrea Fanti, who has an accident that results in serious brain trauma, which results in him losing the last twelve years of his memory. Doc: Nelle Tue Mani premiered on Rai-1 earlier this year. The series was one of the best-watched series on Italian television in the last thirteen years.

Mike Wald from Sony Pictures Television said the following about the series; "We can’t wait to bring this Italian original to the global marketplace, as well as to work with partners around the world, including here in the U.S., to develop local adaptations.”
