All American (2018) spin-off in the works at The CW

The CW is working on a potential spin-off of the drama series All American (2018). The pilot episode of the spin-off will air later this season. Soon, you may feast your eyes on a spin-off of the American sports-drama series All American (2018). At least you'll see the pilot. In this season of All American (2018), an episode will air that also serves as the backdoor pilot to All American: Homecoming. GeffriMaya (Black-ish), who portrays Simone Hicks in the original series, portrays the same character in the pilot. If The CW decides to move forward with the spin-off, she will also portray the lead character.

The story from the potential spin-off revolves around a young tennis talent from Beverly Hills and an elite baseball player from Chicago. Both athletes have to deal with the high pressure of university sports as they navigate themselves through lows and highs of the unguarded young adult life on a prestigious Historical Black College.
