The CW orders The 4400 reboot

The CW orders The 4400 reboot

The CW has ordered a reboot to the USA Network science fiction series The 4400. The original was cancelled in 2007.
More than two years ago, The CW announced that they've started working on a reboot to the science fiction series. The network has ordered the entire series after two years of production. The original series premiered on the USA Network in 2004 and was eventually cancelled in 2007. It ended on a massive cliffhanger.

The reboot comes from Ariana Jackson, Laura Terry and Anna Fricke. Jackson has written the script. It is not yet known when the series is set to premiere at The CW or who's going to be part of the cast. The story revolves around a group of 4400 people who mysteriously disappeared into a mysterious light orb at Mount Rainer. When they return after years, none of them aged and nobody seems to know what has happened. They do possess special powers. Down below, you can watch the trailer of the original series.

The original is one of the best series I've ever seen. Was then unfortunately canceled after 4 seasons by a writers strike: /. Hopefully they can match that level and they will finish the story this x. Season 4 then ended with a lot of open ends. M curious.

As TheCW has been doing in recent years, you already know that it will probably be completely different from the original.

haha, I saw 1 ep of that. That was more drama than action. Not that I liked the original series with Chuck Norris that much, but this wasn't really exciting either. Nice for the background.

The 4400 was indeed a gem that stopped too soon. Fortunately, books were released at the time to further tell the story. It's a shame that The CW is doing the reboot. At TheCW looks and the age of the actors / actresses are more important than acting skills and I'm afraid that won't do the series well ..

Certainly true. Riverdale, Supernatural, The 100, Charmed, etc. The protagonists are (almost) all handsome people aged 25-35, as little or no blood as possible and you never hear the F word. It is often all very gooey and the special effects are usually also very fake. Especially with Charmed and Supernatural. At that point it would be better if HBO or Showtime rebooted the 4400. But we'll see.
