The TV show is based upon the life of Johnson, a professional wrestler and actor. In addition to the real Johnson talking about his lifetime of memories from the year 2032, stories are told through his experiences at three different points. At age 10, Dwayne (Groulx), aka Dewey, is honest, headstrong, impressionable, and bold. At age 15, Dwayne (Constant) is doing his best to fit in like a normal teenager but puberty has other ideas. His size and full moustache have his classmates convinced he’s an undercover cop. Then, at age 18-20, Johnson (Latukefu) has just been recruited to play football on a full scholarship at the powerhouse University of Miami.
On the 16th of February, the first season of Young Rock premiered. It has an average of 3.1 million viewers per week. On the 4th of May, the first season will conclude with its eleventh episode. It hasn't been revealed when the second season is set to release.
The second comedy to be renewed by NBC is Kenan. This comedy also premiered on the 16th of February. It attracted fewer viewers than Young Rock. An average of 2.36 million viewers per week. Turns out, it is still enough for a second season to be justified.
A single-camera comedy series, the Kenan TV show stars Kenan Thompson, Don Johnson, Chris Redd, Kimrie Lewis, Dani Lane, and Dannah Lane. In the story, Kenan Williams (Thompson) is trying to reclaim his life following his wife’s death. Kenan’s two daughters are his world – the very intelligent Aubrey (Dani Lane) and the silly and unpredictable Birdie (Dannah Lane). He struggles to parent them as a single dad and host his Atlanta-based talk show. This leads Kenan to reluctantly accept help from his father-in-law, Rick (Johnson), but their parenting styles aren’t exactly a match. At work, Kenan excels at his job — with the help of his driven executive producer, Mika (Lewis).
The final episode of the first season of Kenan aired on the 27th of April. It also isn't known when the second season of Kenan is going to release in the upcoming television season.
