Last Week Tonight with John Oliver gets a third and fourth season

Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming, announced on 17 February that the Sunday night comedy-news show from HBO has been renewed for two seasons of 35 episodes each. The third season will be broadcast in 2016 and the fourth season in 2017. Currently, the second season of ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’ is broadcast on HBO.

“We are incredibly proud to have John as part of the HBO family,” said Lombardo. “His unique ability to deliver socially significant commentary week after week, along with his innate comedic brilliance, puts John in a class by himself.”

John Oliver is the host of this talk show on HBO, where he presents a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues. ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’ has just won a Writers Guild Award in the category Comedy/Variety (Including Talk)-Series.

Is it right that HBO has renewed ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’?
