
She soon finds herself on a quest to save someone who doesn't want to be saved, to find a child who can't be found, and to solve a case that will blow up her world and prove almost as hard to crack as herself. Joe Dempsie, Gershwyn Eustache Jr. and Chyna McQueen also star.
As the trailer begins, we hear a voiceover of Millie saying, “This is just another story from Jamaica. It won’t add up. It won’t make sense… But like every story about this country, this is a ghost story.” We see Millie being questioned by a Jamaican woman why she has returned, as shots of blood-spattered bodies and Kingston flash in and out.
The crime noir story has been building heat for some time, after news of a pick-up was revealed back in December 2021. We revealed casting in May 2022 before Lawrance told Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye back in December of that year that the series shows Jamaica “in ways that it hasn’t been seen on international television before.”
