First Look at Nobody Wants This Season Two

Netflix has released the first footage from the second season of Nobody Wants This, in which Noah (Adam Brody) and Joanne (Kristen Bell) are visibly happy and in love.

The new season of Nobody Wants This seems to be following up on the ending of season one, which left questions about the future of their relationship. Joanne (Kristen Bell) hesitated to convert to Judaism, despite Noah's (Adam Brody) promotion to head rabbi. However, the season ended with a kiss, leaving fans wondering if he would choose love over his career and whether the relationship could survive without her conversion.

The first-look photos for season two show Joanne watching Noah's basketball team, the Matzah Ballers, from the sidelines and Joanne continuing her podcast with her sister, Morgan (Justine Lupe).

Notably absent from the first look is Leighton Meester, who was announced as a new cast member in February. She plays Abby, Joanne's former high school rival who is now a popular Instagram mom. Her arrival marks a Gossip Girl reunion, as Meester previously played Blair Waldorf on the CW series, which Bell narrated. Meester is also married to Brody in real life.

The official description for season two states that Joanne (an agnostic podcast host) and Noah (an unconventional, handsome rabbi) are now fully committed to their relationship, but their differences remain and present new challenges. It's no longer about falling in love against all odds, but about staying together despite those obstacles.

Familiar faces like Morgan (Justine Lupe), Sasha (Timothy Simons), and Esther (Jackie Tohn) return, while Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Arian Moayed guest star this season.

The second season of Nobody Wants This, consisting of ten episodes, will be released on Netflix on Thursday, October 23.
