The young festival recommends Oh, Otto! as one of the program's highlights. The organizers describe the series as a "critically acclaimed and hyped Belgian series" that offers a "fresh, raw portrait of queer life in Brussels."
The story follows Otto (Jonathan Michiels), a twenty-something who has just been dumped by his first love, while his best friend Lente (Jennifer Heylen) announces she's leaving Brussels. Left with doubts and questions, Otto decides to fill his heart with fleeting love. He sets out to find his place in Brussels' vibrant queer scene. With his online alter ego in his pocket, he plunges into a world of late-night escapades, gay bars, and self-discovery.
The cast also includes Gijs De Corte, Flor Van Severen, Emilie De Roo, Ini Massez, Tania Van der Sanden, and Thomas Mustin, better known as Mustii, in a guest role.
The series was conceived and directed by Stijn Van Kerkhoven, making his directorial debut. He drew inspiration for the series from his own life and surroundings. The screenplay was written by the talented duo of Emiel Van Wouwe and Ditte Jacoby.
