Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova cast in second season of One Piece (2023)

One Piece (2023) has added Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova to its season two cast.
Manganiello (photo, left) will play 'Mr. 0' and Abova (photo, right) will play 'Miss All Sunday'. The announcement was made during the Netflix Geeked Week Live Show. The series also provided a behind-the-scenes look at the first reading rehearsal of season two, sharing that popular character Chopper will appear in the new season. Manganiello, who hosted Geeked Week, and Abova were present at the event, along with returning actor Jeff Ward (Buggy) who welcomed them "on behalf of the villains of Season 1."

“To be trusted with one of the greatest characters ever in manga and fantasy; I’ve been waiting for a character like this my entire career,” Manganiello said on stage.

Manganiello (True Blood) and Abova (Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin) join previously announced new cast members Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Brendan Sean Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Clive Russell as Crocus, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, Werner Coetser as Dorry and returning cast members Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.

One Piece (2023) follows the otherworldly adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his pirate crew as they explore exotic islands and endless oceans in search of the ultimate treasure, called One Piece, to become the next Pirate King.

The series is created in association with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, and Netflix. Executive producers of season two are showrunners Matt Owens & Joe Tracz, Oda, Adelstein and Clements via Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes and Steve Maeda.

Season two is currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa.
