Famous actress returns for fourth season of Only Murders in the Building

A very well-known actress who made her appearance in the third season of Only Murders in the Building will also return in the fourth season.

Of course we are talking about none other than Meryl Streep, who apparently can't get enough of Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.

The multiple Academy Award winner returns for season four of the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building, created and written by Martin and John Hoffman. She will reprise the role of Loretta Durkin.



Only Murders in the Building follows three strangers (Martin, Short and Gomez, pictured with Streep second from left) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly become embroiled in it. When a gruesome death occurs in their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspect murder and use their intimate knowledge of true crime to uncover the truth.

Producers are keeping the season four storyline under wraps, but as Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich revealed in an interview, the Only Murders in the Building trio of Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) will star in the new season begin with a trip to Los Angeles before returning to The Arconia in their search for Sazz's (Jane Lynch) killer.

The Emmy-nominated comedy series remains Hulu's most-watched Comedy Original ever, according to the streamer. Hulu reveals that Only Murders in the Building has been continuously in the Top 15 and has been in Nielsen's Top 10 Original Series since launch.

Martin and Hoffman produce along with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television.
