Details about the plot and character descriptions of the new season are not yet known. However, we do know that the new episodes will focus on unraveling the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), Charles-Haden Savage's (Steve Martin) stunningly identical stunt double from his years on the Brazzos series, and his revival in 2020.

Craig Erwich, president of the Disney Television Group, revealed in an interview that the Only Murders in the Building trio, Charles, Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez), will kick off the new season with a trip to Los Angeles before they return to The Arconia in their search for Sazz's killer.

New additions include Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Desmin Borges, Siena Werber and Lilian Rebelo. Meryl Streep will reprise her role as Loretta Durkin from season three.

In the season three finale - following her critically acclaimed performance in Oliver's Broadway success Death Rattle Dazzle - Loretta received two offers for productions that required her to move to Los Angeles. Her new lover Oliver thinks this is a good idea because he can visit the City of Angels. Mabel's new love Tobert (Jesse Williams) is also heading west, and surprisingly, she's also eager to get away from New York.

Produced by 20th Television, the Emmy-nominated comedy series is created and written by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who are producing alongside Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.

Notable series roles for veteran actor Kind include Captain Stan Yenko on CBS's East New York, Sam Myers on Prime Video's Red Oaks, Joey Rathburn on HBO's Luck and Paul Lassiter on ABC's Spin City. He was also recently seen in the television film Mr. Monk's Last Case for Peacock.

New York theater actress Rubin-Vega recently appeared on Apple TV+'s The Changeling. She helped adapt the play Empanda Loca into the podcast The Horror of Dolores Roach, which was then adapted into a television series for Prime Video.

Actress, comedian and singer Cohen is best known for her popular Netflix comedy special The Twist...? She's Gorgeous. The same live show earned her the title of Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. Series roles include FX's What We Do in the Shadows and Comedy Central's Awkwafina is Nora from Queens and Broad City.

Jin Ha stars in the Apple TV+ series adaptation of Min Jin Lee's critically acclaimed novel Pachinko alongside Youn Yuh Jung and Minha Kim. The series, which recently wrapped filming on its second season, follows a four-generation family led in modern times by Solomon (Ha) and his grandmother (Jung). Previous series roles include FX/Hulu's Devs with Nick Offerman and Sonoya Mizuno and the first season of the HBO Max series Love Life (2020) with Anna Kendrick.
