Lerman (pictured) returns to Hulu and 20th TV after starring in the 2024 limited series We Were the Lucky Ones . He is known for his title role in the Percy Jackson film series and starred in the Prime Video series Hunters (2020) opposite Al Pacino.
Other big names set to return in season five include Téa Leoni and Keegan-Michael Key. As usual, details about the new characters are being kept under wraps.
Production on the new season, which will focus on solving Lester’s murder, is underway in New York. The series’ four regulars — Martin, Short, Gomez, and Michael Cyril Creighton — are returning.
Season four also featured an all-star cast, including the return of Meryl Streep, along with Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Jane Lynch, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.
20th TV's Only Murders in the Building scored its first SAG Award this year for Comedy Series Ensemble, shared by Martin, Short, Gomez, Creighton, Levy, Galifianakis, Longoria, Kind, Nanjiani and Molly Shannon. Short also won for Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
