Only Murders in the Building officially renewed for a sixth season

Hulu has officially confirmed that the popular series Only Murders in the Building will get a sixth season. With this, the streaming service confirms the previous report from yesterday that the new season will largely take place in London. The sixth season of the comedic crime series from 20th Television will consist of ten episodes.

The fifth season premiered on September 9, with new episodes released weekly until the season finale yesterday, titled 'The House Always.' In that episode, Steve Martin (Charles-Haden Savage), Martin Short (Oliver Putnam), and Selena Gomez (Mabel Mora) wrap up their latest murder case, which revolved around the senseless death of the Arconia building's concierge, Lester Coluca (played by Teddy Coluca).

The connection to London only becomes clear later in the episode, after the perpetrator of Lester’s murder is unmasked — and another victim emerges, heralding the next case.

In addition to the main trio and Michael Cyril Creighton (Howard), the cast of season five included an impressive group of guest actors, including Meryl Streep, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler.

Since the start of the series, Only Murders in the Building has received 56 Emmy nominations and won seven.
