Mia van der Linden is a criminology professor who uses a tough elimination process to choose a small group of students to solve cold cases. The silent Ninthe, handsome Jochem, bitchy Vera, down-to-earth Charlie and Melvin with a photographic memory are challenged by Mia to find a new way into the cases using old evidence.
When Mia is banned from taking on the case of the deceased boy Kevin Metsers from 1993, in which Attorney General Olivier Hupkes was once involved, the team must go outside the law to find the perpetrators and finally provide answers to the relatives.
