
The trio declined to elaborate, but indicated that ideas for possible spin-off series and other offshoots of the OBX universe are being explored. According to sources, there are currently no projects in the works, but it makes sense for Netflix to try to expand one of its flagship series - something it has already done with series like Stranger Things and Bridgerton and is exploring with Virgin River.

Netflix has hinted that it has bigger plans for Outer Banks – expanding the OBX brand into other areas: video games, with the recently released mobile game Stories: Outer Banks; and live events, with the annual Pougelandia fan music party. There are also licensing agreements for OBX merchandise from brands such as PacSun, Lottie London and Byrd.
A social media phenomenon, Outer Banks has spent a total of 28 weeks in the global top 10 English television charts to date, with several more expected this year following the release of season four part 2.
The series centers on a group of working-class teenagers - Pogues - from a coastal community in North Carolina. The story tells about their lives, friendship and treasure hunting adventures.
