The sixth season is a continuation of Claire and Jamie's struggle to protect those who they love, while also trying to pass the tests and trials of living in colonial America. Settling into the New World definitely isn't an easy task, especially not in the wild countryside of North Carolina - and maybe even more important - while in a period of dramatic political unrest. The Frasers are striving to keep the peace and to bloom into a society that - which Claire knows all too well - is heading for Revolution. With all that happening, the events that show the birth of the new American nation, Claire and Jamie have built a home at Fraser's Ridge.
The sixth season will only have eight episodes. The previously announced seventh season will have sixteen episodes.
