Penny Dreadful: City of Angels at Showtime in April

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is the spin-off of Showtime's Penny Dreadful horror series.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is set in Los Angeles in 1938, a time and place drenched in Mexican-American folklore and social tension. Rooted in the conflict between characters associated with the deity Santa Muerte and others associated with the Devil, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will explore a mix of the supernatural of that period. The series will also show new occult myths and moral dilemmas within the historical background.

Creator John Logan is again a writer and executive producer. Actors Piper Perabo, Daniel Zovatto, Natalie Dormer, Kerry Bishé, Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner and Rory Kinnear can be seen in the series.

Showtime released the teaser and release date for Penny Dreadful: City of Angels yesterday. The series can be seen from April 26.
