Last year, the first season premiered, and in October 2019, the series was renewed with a second season. Executive producer and director of Pennyworth Danny John Cannon announced on his Instagram that the second season of Pennyworth is going to premiere on EPIX on the 2nd of December. It remains unsure if this date was correct. Cannon deleted his post shortly after that, so he may have been a bit too enthusiastic and released the news a bit too soon.
The series revolves around Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon, The Loch), the legendary Wayne butler. In the second season, a new character will appear in the series. Lucius Fox - from the Batman comics - will make a grand entrance in the life of the other characters. The second season will also feature a big change for Thomas and Martha Wayne.
