Percy Jackson season two adds Rosemarie DeWitt and others to cast

Aleks Paunovic, Beatrice Kitsos and Kevin Chacon have also joined the second season of the Disney+ series. Rosemarie DeWitt (pictured, The Staircase) guest stars as C.C. and Aleks Paunovic plays the Cyclops Polyphemus. Beatrice Kitsos and Kevin Chacon have recurring roles as demigods who team up with Luke (Charlie Bushnell).

DeWitt’s C.C. is a stylish and composed New Age guru-type who Percy (Walker Scobell) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) encounter during their quest for the Golden Fleece. She exudes warmth and empathy, but readers of The Sea of ​​Monsters — the book on which season two is based — know there’s more to her than that.

Polyphemus (Paunovicis, Van Helsing) is an ancient Cyclops who was blinded by Odysseus long ago. He now tends animals and jealously guards the Golden Fleece on his private island.

Kitsos (The Exorcist) plays Alison Simms, a character who doesn’t appear in author Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. She’s a “graduate” of Camp Half-Blood who lives in the human world but truly believes in the world Kronos promises and joins Luke.

Chacon (Jessica Jones) will play Chris Rodriguez, who, like Luke, is a son of Hermes and part of his group (Andrew Alvarez played Chris in a few episodes of season one).

DeWitt, Paunovic, Kitsos and Chacon will join Percy Jackson newcomers Daniel Diemer (Tyson), Tamara Smart (Thalia), Andra Day (Athena) and Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho and Kristen Schaal (the Gray Sisters) in season two. Additionally, Courtney B. Vance has signed on to play Zeus, taking over the role from the late Lance Reddick. Scobell, Jeffries, Bushnell, Aryan Simhadri and Dior Goodjohn will all reprise their roles from season one.

Season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is currently in production and is set to premiere in 2025.
