HBO has renewed the American legal crime series Perry Mason (2020) with a second season.
The eight-part first season of Perry Mason (2020) premiered on HBO on the 21st of July. The network has now revealed that the crime series has been renewed with a second season. The premiere episode of the series was watched by over eight million people on HBO and was the best-watched premiere on the network in the past two years.
In the series, Matthew Rhys (The Americans) portrays the famous criminal lawyer Perry Mason, who throws himself on the case of the decade. Mason's will to uncover the truth reveals a broken city and a possibility for his own redemption. Rolin Jones (The Exorcist) and Ron Fitzgerald (Westworld) conceived the series, which is based on the characters from Erle Stanley Gardner. Perry Mason (2020) is a reboot of the series from CBS that released in 1957.
