©The Hollywood Reporter - Apple TVRose Byrne and Seth Rogen once again serve as executive producers, along with creators Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, who stated they are delighted to return to the world of Platonic for season three.
The second season concluded with a major twist: Sylvia (Byrne) agreed to become a business partner of Will (Rogen) and acts as the public face of his new bar. This decision came after legal issues for Will, following his breakup with his fiancée, restaurant chain CEO Jenna, which led to a non-compete clause from his old contract.
While Matt Cherniss, Apple TV’s head of programming, didn't reveal anything about the storyline for season three, he praised Stoller and Delbanco for elevating the series in season two and expressed excitement for what's to come.
Nothing is yet known about the cast of season three. Season two featured Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo, and had guest appearances by Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Milo Manheim.
Rogen is also featured in the Emmy-nominated Apple TV comedy series The Studio, while Byrne starred in Apple’s dark comedy series Physical.
