I love courtroom dramas, so I found the first four episodes a bit less than the last four. Episodes five through eight were really good and took place in a courtroom. Great! However, I almost gave up halfway through. Luckily, someone told me it would get really good. And that's why I'm writing this piece, for all those people who want to give up I say: 'hang in there!' (grin)
Jake Gyllenhaal is not my favorite actor. On the contrary. But he is quite okay here and the rest of the cast is also great. Too bad it is all filmed a bit dark, that's why I thought it was more of a series for late at night when the sunlight no longer falls through the windows. Or for on bleak autumn and/or winter evenings.
Finally, I would like to mention that I actually did not find any of the characters really sympathetic. Subjective, I know, but still... The series is based on a book (thriller). Towards the end it also became very exciting and I wanted to know how it would end for the prosecutor accused of murder.
Quite slow, but that fits the story
I really don't know where things will go after episode 5
