Executive producer Marlene King has confirmed that the lying ladies from 'Pretty Little Liars' will not get an eighth season. After seven seasons the drama series will come to an end. They will have 40 episodes to finalize the story and come up with a proper ending.
King wrote on twitter: “@lovaticshay the next 40 episodes are going to be the best ever. Going out in a blaze of glory.” #MasterPlan #PLL
King had previously said that there was potential for 'Pretty Little Liars' to go beyond season seven, but it now appears not to be so.
The sixth season, which is going to get twenty episodes, will start on 2 June. The seventh and final season is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2016 with a potential series finale in 2017.
