Prison Break will not have a sixth season

Prison Break will not have a sixth season

Wentworth Miller has announced that he will no longer portray his character in Prison Break. A sixth season of the series is thus out of the question.
Near the end of September, Dominic Purcell (DC's Legends of Tomorrow) revealed that there was going to be a sixth season for Prison Break. This wasn't confirmed by FOX, however. And that isn't going to happen anymore either. Wentworth Miller (The Flash (2014), who portrayed Michael J. Scofield, has revealed that he no longer wishes to portray the character. FOX has decided to cancel the series because of that decision.

Back in 2005, Prison Break premiered. After the fourth season released in 2009, the fans had to wait quite some time before the fifth season released. It took until 2017 before season five aired. Since then, speculation and hints about a sixth season were everywhere. Turns out, we won't be speculating anymore.

Please mention the real reason: as a gay man he suddenly doesn't want to play straight roles anymore ... Apparently, according to him, as an actor you are no longer allowed to play roles that are different from the person you are ..

I don't think he says anywhere what you should or shouldn't play as an actor. He has made a personal assessment and as a homosexual he no longer wants to play heterosexual roles. I thought season 5 of Prison Break no longer reached the level of the first seasons, so I don't think a sixth season is a disaster.

You mean that as a homosexual, he no longer wants to play heterosexual roles. I also agree with you.

Respect for his choice, but I think Miller is a very limited actor and I don't think we'll see much of him anymore. Especially if he rejects many roles in advance with this choice.

Well he suddenly doesn't want to play straight roles anymore as gay. Which I understand somewhere but on the other hand they want to be treated equally and and be seen as "normal" (which I really do) Baal well he could have become gay in Prison Break? In addition to that there are also straight gay sexuals and some actors play monkeys, monsters and murderers all fiction and apart from reality and Miller wants to turn that around and then I thank and I do not have a 6th season with him

Fine right. Take it or leave it. Acting was not really his job anyway. He has also scored few to no leading roles since this series: P.

Season 1 was good. After that it became dreadful. Yes, that's my personal opinion. So I can't mourn it. Saves me some viewing time. Still have plenty to see.

Still weird. Actors always play people they aren't, so that logic escapes me a bit. Prison Break was no longer good anyway, so fine on.
