Trailer and photos available for Bridgerton spinoff Queen Charlotte

The first trailer for Bridgerton prequel spinoff Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has been shared by Netflix. Shonda Rhimes' series follows Queen Charlotte's rise to fame and power. At its heart is how the marriage of the young Queen (India Amarteifio) to King George (Corey Mylchreest) sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton that the characters in Bridgerton inherit.



Golda Rosheuvel (the older Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) also reprise their roles from Bridgerton in this series, along with Michelle Fairley as Princess Augusta, Corey Mylchreest as Young King George and Arsema Thomas as Young Agatha Danbury. Rounding out the cast are Sam Clemmett as Young Brimsley, Freddie Dennis as Reynolds, Richard Cunningham as Lord Bute, Tunji Kasim as Adolphus, Rob Maloney as the Royal Doctor, Cyril Nri as Lord Danbury and Hugh Sachs as Brimsley (parent).

The trailer shows that drama, love and frustration lie ahead. All six episodes will be released on Thursday, May 4.
