Alan Ritchson, who plays the main character, revealed the news from the set of season three during a panel at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil.

Reacher is based on the novels by Lee Child and the second season is based on the eleventh book in the series, Bad Luck and Trouble.
Ritchson plays veteran Jack Reacher, who receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Reacher is brought out of his drifter existence and reunites with three of his former teammates to investigate, consisting of Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot and the quick talking, knife-wielding family man David O'Donnell (Shaun Sipos).
Together, they begin to connect the dots in a mystery where the stakes rise at every turn, raising questions about who betrayed them and who will be next to die.
Reacher comes from Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios. It is written by Nick Santora, who also serves as showrunner and is producing alongside Child, Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell.
