From the beginning of March, the second season of Rebecka Martinsson will be made available on Netflix. In various countries around the world, the first season released on Netflix in September 2020. On the 1st of March, the second season will receive the same treatment. Don't doubt yourself when you're watching the second season as the lead actress does look different. In the first season, the titular character was portrayed by Ida Engvoll. In the second season, that same character will be portrayed by Sascha Zacharias (
Beck).
The series is based on the books by Åsa Larsson. The story revolves around the successful lawyer Rebecka, who returns to her birthplace after a youth friend went missing. She soon figures out that her friend was murdered. Rebecka goes on a hunt for the murderer, who could strike again at any time. At the same time, she is confronted with a traumatic event from her past. In the second season, Rebecka has new cases to work but at the same time, she is still struggling with her past.
