Back in August 2020, Netflix ordered eight episodes of Resident Evil. The streaming service has been working on the project since 2019. Now, the series has been given an official premiere date. On the 8th of July, the series premieres on Netflix. Resident Evil is based on the popular video games with the same name. A trailer was also released, which you can watch down below.
The series revolves around the fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker, who move to New Raccoon City. They find out that their father hides dark secrets that are capable of destroying the world. Next to that, there is a second storyline that takes place a decade later. The now thirty-year-old Jade struggles to survive in a world with fifty million people and more than six billion monsters, which are humans and animals that are infected with the T-virus.
