Rick and Morty - Season 1
“The genius grandfather, an easily manipulated grandson and lots of crazy adventures”. A great description of Rick and Morty, the amazing dark comedy show of Adult Swim, which at the moment already has three seasons. But just like any other show it started at the first season. The first time I heard of this show, was when they had just finished broadcasting the first season. A great time to binge-watch! This dark comedy appealed to me immediately, this is my kind of humour.
In the pilot we witness Rick (Justin Roiland, Adventure time) returning into the life of his grandson Morty (Justin Roiland, Adventure Time).
The season contains eleven amazing episodes, with each having its own unusual storyline. Each episode lasts between 20 to 25 minutes, which I think is perfect for a series such as this one. Even though each episode has its own story, there is certainly a linear storyline throughout the entire season. So make sure to pay attention. The humour, rudeness and sarcasm is effectively put into the story, which makes each episode very enjoyable.
This beautiful show, made by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon presents us with a funny, dark but also epic version of the two main characters of Back to the Future: Doc Brown and Marty McFly. It has also been inspired by many other sci-fi flicks. Take for example 'Anatomy park' (one of the episodes), which is obviously based on Jurassic Park. To end I would like to state that the show manages to find a balance between cartoony silliness, dark humour and several emotional moments. If you like all three of those things, then Rick and Morty is the show for you! Everything taken into account, a beautiful first season of a show! It most definitely qualifies for a 9!

This isn't that good a thing for Morty's life. During previous adventures Morty missed an entire semester of school. To make matters even worse, Rick takes Morty with him on a new adventure. They have to collect a seed for one of Rick's devices. After a hilarious time in dimension 35-C, Rick informs Morty that there are many more adventures to come. And of course, we witness all of them in season one! After a hilarious time in dimension 35-C Rick informs Morty that there are many more adventures to come. One-time characters such as Mr. Meeseeks (Justin Roiland, Adventure Time) have also added positive things to the show. I have watched this season several times, just like seasons of others shows, and it remains interesting even after several times. The voice acting is top-notch and brings life into the show. The voice acting is top-notch and brings life into the show.
