The first five episodes of the fifth season were originally supposed to be the last five episodes of the fourth season. Production on Riverdale was halted due to the coronavirus. Starting from the 21st of January, the fifth season of Riverdale will release a weekly episode in various countries. This will always be a day after the release at The CW in the US.
Next to the premiere date, The CW has also released a trailer for the fifth season. The series revolves around the life of teenagers Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends. They discover the dark and crazy that is hidden away behind Riverdale's beautiful exterior.
