The American network The CW has renewed the mysterious crime drama Riverdale for a fifth season. Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends stumble across all kinds of secrets in the town of
Riverdale. The town is less attractive than it appears. Main roles are portrayed by KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Casey Cott and Madelaine Petsch.
Riverdale can be seen on Netflix and its next episode will be released on the 22nd of January. The show is based on the comics of Archie comics, however, the series is placed in a more modern setting.
It hasn't been confirmed how many episodes the fifth season will consist of. Previous seasons - apart from the first - all had 22 episodes.
