The story revolves around Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson (Moore), who is brought out of his forced retirement after a failed mission. He is tasked with leading an experimental SWAT unit consisting of young, untested, and often unpredictable recruits.

As Hondo tries to bridge the generational gap and force clashing personalities to cooperate, he must prepare his team to protect the city and keep alive the program that shaped him.

Behind the scenes, Kevin Tancharoen has been appointed as the director of the first episode. He built his reputation with projects like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for ABC, Warrior (2019) for Cinemax, The Book of Boba Fett for Disney+, The Brothers Sun for Netflix, and Teacup for Peacock.

The series consists of ten episodes and is produced and distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Television.
