WGN America’s first original scripted drama series ‘Salem’ has been renewed for a second season. The witches are clearly doing something right or they put some kind of spell over WGN. The second season of the drama series about the witch trials in ‘Salem’ will have thirteen episodes and will start in 2015.
“Co-creators and executive producers Brannon Braga, Adam Simon, the talented cast and our great partners at Fox 21 have opened up an intriguing world that has captivated viewers,” Matt Cherniss, WGN America/Tribune Studios president and general manager, said in a statement. “We look forward to bringing greater storytelling, scares and surprises to viewers as the saga unfolds.”
‘Salem’ premiered on April 20th and drew 1.5 million viewers, and with that number it was WGN America’s best-watched TV-series in seven years.
