Paramount+ renews School Spirits for a third season

School Spirits, starring Peyton List, is returning for another season.
Paramount+ has renewed original drama series School Spirits for a third season, set to air in 2026. The news comes as no surprise given the success of the second season, which concluded just three weeks ago.

Season two opened with an average viewership of 3.9 million in its first 28 days, a 94% increase from the first season's premiere.

“We are so thrilled to bring School Spirits back to our devoted audiences for another season of masterful storytelling brought to life by Peyton List and the incredible cast,” said Shauna Phelan, Head of Live Action Scripted Series and Film for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon. “Co-showrunners Oliver Goldstick, Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud have an exceptional ability to capture the complexity and nuance of the teen experience, while also keeping audiences on their toes with the unexpected mystery, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the students of Split River High next season.”

In season two, Maddie Nears (List) is still trapped in the afterlife with the knowledge of what happened to her and must bring together her friends in the spirit world and the living world to get her stolen life back.

In addition to List, season two also stars Kristian Ventura, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Josh Zuckerman, and Milo Manheim.

Seasons one and two are currently available to stream on Paramount+ in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Latin America, and Brazil. Season two will debut in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria at a later date.
