Lots of sex, but little to no substance. My expectations for the second season of Sex/Life were not too high. Unfortunately, that has also become the truth. The success of the first season had a lot to do with the high guilty pleasure content and one scene that caused a storm on the internet discussion forums: was he real or fake? Responding to this success, Netflix decided to order a second season. However, the screenwriters were not part of that decision. They apparently thought it was a good idea to mix up the characters' characters.
Bad Boy Brad in this season acts like the responsible and concerned husband of his children's mother-to-be, as he fantasizes about his erotic escapades with Billie. The formerly perfect husband, Cooper, is now a sex machine gone mad, who doesn't care about ruining the lives of his conquests. Billie, who, after a season full of doubts, finally wanted to surrender to Brad, is unceremoniously rejected and, after a few weeks of celibacy, starts looking for a new love. It turns out, how could it be otherwise, to be a business relation of Brad. And then there's Sasha who can't choose between her career and her childhood sweetheart.
The series is technically beautifully filmed, the men all look great and are very successful. The ladies have the figure of a fashion model and are stunningly beautiful. To make you forget the weakness of the storylines, we get to see the necessary sex scenes every so often, so that you quickly press the fast-forward button every time another scene comes along. As icing on the cake, another huge penis comes into view. But that it is false this time is abundantly clear in this case. Because a third season was not in it, a happy ending was invented for everyone in the last episode through a number of artifices.
If you like quality series, you can better skip this and if you like a good sex movie, then other channels are better suited.
