Paramount+ has released the official trailer for Sexy Beast, the upcoming drama series that is a prequel to the 2000 cult British gangster film.

Sexy Beast

The trailer gives us our first look at the origins of Gal (McArdle) and Don's (Elliott) complicated relationship as they descend into the seductive madness of London's criminal world during the vibrant and volatile 1990s, while Gal's budding relationship with DeeDee (Greene ) threatens everything in their world.

Gal (McArdle) and Don (Elliott) are best friends and small-town thieves living the high life in 1990s East London. Greene's DeeDee Harrison is an endearing adult film star whose ambitions to take control of her own destiny and her love affair with Gal Dove put her in danger.

Moyer is Teddy Bass, a treacherous rising star in the gangster world who lures Gal and Don into his criminal web, and Greig is Don's pathologically controlling and fearsome older sister Cecilia.

Other cast members include Eliza Bennett (Dynasty (2017)), Clea Martin (Hanna), Nicholas Nunn (Clique), Peter Ferdinando (The Letter for the King), John Dagleish (The Third Day), Robbie Gee (Berlin Station), Paul Kaye (The Stranger (2020)), Lex Shrapnel (A Town called Malice), Cally Lawrence (People Just Do Nothing), David Kennedy (Hollyoaks), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Britannia), Ralph Brown (Turn), Nitin Ganatra ( Bodies (2023)) and Alice Bailey Johnson (Black Mirror).

Filmed in Liverpool, Sexy Beast is produced by AC Chapter One and Anonymous Content in association with PTIS, the international studio division of Paramount Global.

Michael Caleo, Nicole Clemens, Antony Smith, Michael Scheel, JC Acosta, Alastair Galbraith and David Caffrey are executive producers, along with David Scinto and Louis Mellis, writers of the original film. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
