Signora Volpe renewed for a third season by Acorn TV

Signora Volpe returns for a third season. Streaming service Acorn TV has ordered three new 90-minute episodes.
In season three, we see former British spy Sylvia Fox (played by Silent Witness actress Emilia Fox) recovering from her kidnapping at the end of season two and once again enjoying her life in Italy. However, she continues to wait for answers from her ex-husband Adam Haines regarding his past with her kidnapper.

This season, Sylvia investigates the murder of a local winemaker and the mystery surrounding a young man found dead in the bed of a powerful couple who claim never to have seen him before. Her relationship with Carabinieri Captain Giovanni Riva becomes more intimate, but his desire to settle permanently in Umbria clashes with Sylvia's need for independence.

In the final episode, Sylvia faces an emotional crisis when someone dear to her dies violently. At the same time, Adam returns, injured and in danger, asking for her help, putting Sylvia's loyalty to the test.

Alongside Emilia Fox, the cast includes Tara Fitzgerald, Giovanni Cirfiera, Elena Di Cioccio, Matteo Carlomagno, Marianne Leoni, and Imma Piro. Jamie Bamber returns as Adam Haines and Buffy Davis as Miriam Cavendish.

Filming started two weeks ago in Lazio and Umbria. The series is created by Rachel Cuperman and Sally Griffiths, who also serve as writers and executive producers. David Evans directs.
