Videoland gives Sleepers a fourth and final season

The crime series Sleepers will get a fourth season, which will also be its final season. Videoland announced this yesterday.
The lead actor of Sleepers, Robert de Hoog, who plays the corrupt detective Martin Oudkerk, confirmed the news in a video on Instagram. According to him, it was inevitable after the end of season three. De Hoog emphasized that season four will definitively be the final installment of the series, and this has always been his intention.

The actor, who also serves as the showrunner, states that he consciously chose to end the series at its peak. Even though saying goodbye is difficult due to the enormous popularity of Sleepers, he finds it important to end the story powerfully and conclusively.

The fourth season thus forms the final chapter for the main characters Martin, Ans, and Willem. Sleepers revolves around Martin Oudkerk, a corrupt detective who becomes increasingly entangled in the criminal underworld. The role of Ans is portrayed by Lineke Rijxman, while Teun Kuilboer plays Willem.

Season three of the series was released in its entirety on December 12 on Videoland. For viewers curious about how the series is made behind the scenes, a video is available that provides a glimpse into the production process.
